The funeral of legendary film star Alain Delon will be held privately today at his estate in Duchy, central France.
The ceremony will take place without the presence of people in the chapel on the land that he bought himself in 1971, as the late star wanted.
According to the television channels CNews and BFMTV, the funeral will take place at 17:00 local time, but many people are expected to gather outside the ground to say a final farewell to the icon of French cinema. Only the children of the actor and 50 other people who received an invitation will participate in the ceremony.
However, the family prohibited Delon’s last companion and caregiver in the last years of his life, 66-year-old Hiromi Rollin, from attending the private ceremony.
Remember that in 2023 the three children of the actor – Alain Fabien, Anouska and Anthony – filed a lawsuit against Rollin for moral harassment, mail abuse and animal abuse, until they banished from Delon’s residence in the Duchy. Rollins was dismissed from the charges because the testimony of witnesses – including workers at the actor’s residence and estate – was controversial.
According to Rollin, the health condition of the French cinema legend worsened after he was evicted from his residence. “For Allen, the treatment was very good. (Delon was diagnosed with lymphoma and suffered three strokes). He is happy with me and well on July 5, 2023. I am angry and sorry for Alain, who stopped his treatment a year ago. He wanted to see me. He left me a message on March 24. He was very lonely and asked me to visit him,” said Rollins and accused the actor’s children of not allowing him. to say goodbye.
“I did not allow his children to say goodbye to him. It’s not humane,” the 66-year-old told Le Figaro.
The attorney for Delon’s children said that Rollin, after the actor’s latest stroke, isolated him from his family and friends. In response to the lawsuit filed against him by the actor’s children, he responded to a lawsuit against Delon’s three children and against his bodyguards, who alleged violence against him during meetings, theft and slander. In January 2024, the court found the accused innocent.
