A musical event to raise awareness against violence entitled “It’s beautiful at dawn” will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 20:30 at Asia Minor Park by the participants of the program “The art of rhythm in education – Music in the community. ” of the Municipality of Heraklion, implemented by the Theater-Film-Music Workshop of the University of Crete, in collaboration with the Municipality of Heraklion, the Deputy Mayor of Culture of Heraklion and the 4th Municipal Community of Heraklion.
The event, free to the public, will feature a selection of tunes and songs from the rich musical tradition of the Aegean islands with elite soloists Fani Karousos on the santouri, Panagiotis Sakkoulas on the land lute, Themi Polyzoakis on violin and Malama Patreli on song. The artistic curators are Anthi Fourki and Yiannis Papatzanis and the lecturers are Eleftheria Blazakis, Haris Bakas and Maria Kefaloudaki.
