The summer tourist season begins to expand, Uber estimates based on data from the operation of its application in Greece, confirmed by the fact that in April 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, tourist activities in Athens increased by 72%, while App Sessions (login frequency of app passengers ) saw a 64% increase.
The figures that confirm this trend, however, are the International Movements from/to the Airport that in April doubled (+101%), in May and June they increased by 52% and 64% respectively, maintaining upward trend of 50 % per month compared to 2023.
So foreign visitors give a vote of confidence to our country because it can be seen from the use of the Uber application for their movements, the increase in traffic is already visible from April 2024, when the difficulty of finding the taxi began to observe, which also strengthened. the fact that the supply is not enough to cover the increased demand made during the summer.
