“Keep the Songs and Forget Me”

The decision to withdraw from certain aspects of the song was made by Thanasis Papakonstantinou.

The famous singer, songwriter and poet announced that he will no longer perform concerts but will continue to make records. As he said before his final retirement, he will sing for the last time live next October at a concert for victims in Tempe in support of the Association of Relatives of Victims.

The message

Closing the concert, on Sunday, June 16, at the Vracon Theater in Byron, he said: “Well, I want to thank you! And you who are here now – and those who were… The greatest thing you have done is to forget my shortcomings – yes, damn it! And you get to the point. Thank you very much. It is not easy. See you next time at the record label – at least. But I want to say the following: – I’ve always said it, I’ll say it one more time.

I think the answer is there and the love… I think it’s too much! Listen, listen… it happens let me explain one more time. What I do, that is dealing with songs… ok, it’s a need that I can’t control… But I realize that I do it for my own life. So that I can stand tall on this hard road that is life, right?

So, in short, creation is a selfish process. I keep saying this… What crowns human life is sacrifice – children – and I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing anything.

So… Keep the songs going and forget me! I also want to thank the colleagues. Those who are now and those who existed before, who suffer me… They bear with me… I see different faces here and in front and among the companions, sad and angry, etc. sad! Live in the moment! Live in the present! Like there is no tomorrow! But but, but but… No nonsense, always remember those who came before us and those who will follow us.”
