About the poetic work of Mr. Tsigris, Lisa Paizi (Dr. of Linguistics, Philologist Education advisor in N. Chania) and Eleni Paizi (philologist) spoke.
The philologist Eleni Paizi, during the presentation of the collection “turnarounds” which deals with various forms of “searches” of the human soul and mind, focused especially on the poetic language of Yiannis Tsigris and the sources of inspiration. of the creator. Among other things he said:
“The poetic language of Yiannis Tsigris is expressed by the “sea”, “sky” and “light” in their thousand faces. The sea sometimes appears as an invitation to escape from inner searches, sometimes as a attempt to combine the other, sometimes as a theater of madness and pain. .Tsigris, not as a realistic depiction, but as a source of inspiration for his poetic material and symbols.
Another dominant element that permeates the collection is the play with light. Even in the absence of bright colors, the meanings are emphasized mainly by the changes in light. Light brings harmony, calms us, balances us, renews us. Losing it … deprives us of horizons, diminishes us.”

The philologist Lisa Paizis is mentioned in the collection of poetry “Expressions of Words” which deals with the different characteristics of human behavior in different situations, saying characteristic: “The poetic form of Mr. Tsigris works without stopping … from the modern to the traditional .
