The band’s music catalog was purchased for $1.27 billion

The music catalog of queen along with other copyrights are in the process of being acquired Sony Music for £1 billion (about $1.27 billion).

According to international outlets, the only revenue not covered by the deal is live shows, which will remain with founding members Brian May and Roger Taylor, who are still touring with singer Adam Lambert.
