With new productions of emblematic archaeological sites, monuments and museums throughout Greece, the multi-collective program of events continues – for the seventh week institution of the Ministry of Culture “All Greece is a culture”.
This is when the ministry announced grants worth 2,006,000 euros, after an invitation to all interested parties, through the Registry of Cultural Bodies of the Ministry of Culture, for grants and/or sponsorship of Professional Theater Schemes. In this case, of course, we mean the program “Creative Greece – Contemporary Culture Grants 2024”.
Performances and exhibitions (free) throughout August
Today, the public has the opportunity to enjoy – from 12 to 18 August – separate musical theater and dance performances, as well as musical events held around the central thematic axis of the institution for this year, the concept of conflict.
On August 12 and 13, the musical performance “La Tarantata” by the musical group Encardia will be presented at the Tsiatsiapas Mansion in Kastoria, as well as the new production “The Dance of Death”, in the concept and choreography of Iris. History and music by Nikos Veliotis, of the Ancient Theater Gytheio.
On August 17 and 18, the musical theater show “Tarot of Odysseus”, conceived and artistically directed by Katerina Foteinaki, will come to the Ancient Theater of Milos.
At the same time, three important exhibitions of this year’s program continue in Tinos, Thessaloniki and Maronia. The group exhibition “+THLIPSIS” is hosted at the Ursuline Monastery of Tinos until August 31, as is the exhibition “The River / Voicing Water” presented at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki. Meanwhile the group exhibition “Constellations that re-explode” at the Tavaniotis Mansion in Maroneia has been extended until the last day of this summer.
