The “Donate your shopping” collection of food dedicated to less fortunate animals returns on Saturday 6 July in 49 stores of the Nova Coop network. Throughout the day, in participating stores, it is possible to offer your contribution to the care and nutrition of homeless pets by buying basic necessities (kibbles, cans of wet food, biscuits) and donating them to the volunteers in the store. , belonging to associations and local structures that deal with the protection of four-legged friends looking for shelter.
In the summer, the phenomenon of abandoning pets (especially dogs and cats) marks significant increases and therefore it becomes especially important to ensure support for those who provide first aid to the strays and the homeless. residence.
Last year, the Nova Coop solidarity collection involved more than 40 voluntary associations as beneficiaries and made it possible to collect a total of more than 18 tons of food and basic needs for our animal friends, which corresponds to an amount of more than 60 thousand euros. With this thematic collection dedicated to animals, Nova Coop continues its commitment to creating positive value by partnering with the communities in which it operates.
