The largest website in the Netherlands that focuses only on vacations in Greece says that “with meltemi as an ally and the lacy coast, Karpathos is the best destination in Greece for windsurfing enthusiasts. The services provided by the surfing schools and diving centers on the island enhance the experience of activities in Karpathos”. It is noted that in the past there was an extensive presentation of the Municipality of Karpathos in the Dutch media about various alternative activities on the island.
On this wavelength, a long multi-page feature entitled “Karpathos, Greece’s Diamond in the Rough” was published at the same time in the Danish magazine Ude og Hjemme, praising the wild natural beauty, local cuisine, tradition and many options for exploration in the second largest island of the Dodecanese. “The messages we have received about the development of the season are positive, with more tourists expected from traditional, but also new markets.
