TikTok user Macey Jane (@therealmaceyjane) recently went viral on the platform when she shared a video of her trip to the Airport which lasted two and a half hours.
“If there is no public transport at the airport in Iceland at 5 in the morning and a taxi costs 200 euros, so you walk 2.5 hours to the airport with your suitcase”, Macey wrote in the video, which has been viewed more than two million times since it was posted last week.
In the clip, Macey is seen pulling him suitcase on the wheels of a deserted road in the countryside of Iceland, apparently on the way to Keflavík International Airport in the southwestern region of the country.

“It’s a great story for the holiday table”Macey wrote in a viral TikTok caption.
Predictably, many viewers were shocked that Macey walked more than two hours to the airport to save money on an expensive taxi ride. Some in the comments section asked why there was no public transportation available at the time – like other countries serving public commuters at night.
“From where in Iceland’ others asked him. “We found a bus for just €3.99”, they emphasized. In specific comments, many wanted to note, defending Macey, that he seems to be in a remote place.
There are also in the comments that suggest solutions to him, if he finds himself in a similar problem again: “I will arrange with the Rbnb owners to bring a shuttle at the time I want, free of charge”wrote to each other noting: “I will go to the airport from the day before, even if I sleep there.”
