On Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., the documentary “VENIZELOS, fight for Asia Minor” will be shown in the cinema of the Shooting Range of Crete. The event, where officers and staff of the military units and Security Forces of Chania are invited to attend, is organized by the Crete Shooting Range and the “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” National Foundation on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment at the Crete Shooting Range.
The dramatized documentary Venizelos, struggle for Asia Minor is a co-production of the “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” National Research and Studies Foundation, ERT and Long Run Productions, with the support of the Hellenic Parliament.
The film was shown in many cities in Greece and abroad (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, London, Lausanne, Enns of Austria, Montreal, Florida, Melbourne, Sydney and elsewhere), as well as on the frequency of ERT and ERTflix , while he also participated in international festivals around the world receiving important honors and awards.
On Sunday, May 26, the film received the “Christos Lambrakis” Educational Film Award “for the wonderful script and excellent directorial management of a historical wound in the modern history of Greece”.
